The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has issued Level 1 travel alert for France due to the European nation’s current security situation.

Macau residents who plan to visit France or are currently there have been advised to step up vigilance for safety and stay tuned for the latest announcements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Embassy in France, according to MGTO.

There is so far no related enquiry or assistance request from Macau residents through the Tourism Hotline but Macau’s tourism office is paying close attention to the situation in France.

In case of emergencies, Macau residents may contact the following:

  • 24-hour tourism hotline (853) 2833 3000;
  • Chinese Embassy in France for consular protection and assistance at Tel: +33-153758840 or +33-640953607, and its website: https://fr.china-embassy.gov.cn;
