Grammy-winning US R&B, hip-hop and pop trio Black Eyed Peas will have a concert at AXA Wonderland in West Kowloon, Hong Kong on 19 November, then at the Macau Outdoor Performance Venue in Cotai on 21 November, 18 years after their first concert in Macau, according to various media reports.
They performed at The Venetian Macao’s Venetian Arena in 2007.
The last time the group – now consisting of will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo – performed in Hong Kong was also almost two decades ago, when Fergie was still a member. The latter left the group in 2018.
Formed in Los Angeles 30 years ago, the group is known for their chart-topping hits like “Where Is the Love?”, “I Gotta Feeling” and “Let’s Get It Started”, among others.
The group now features Filipino-American singer Jessica J. Rey Soul – also known as Jessica Joy Seria Reynoso and for her participation in The Voice of the Philippines season one – who serves as the group’s singer after Fergie’s departure.
Tickets to the group’s upcoming Macau concert are priced HKD699-1,699 (all standing). Bookings can be done via this link. Ticket prices for the Hong Kong concert have not yet been announced. – GNM
