The 73rd Macau Grand Prix will be held from 19-22 November, with a special event for everyone in Macau to experience the atmosphere in the lead-up to it, “73rd Macau Grand Prix – Family Carnival” running today and tomorrow.
The carnival will take place at Tap Seac Square from 2:45 to 9 pm today and from 10 am to 9 pm tomorrow, according to a press release jointly issued by the city’s Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee(MGPOC) and Culture and Sports Bureau (DSCD).
No advance reservation is required to attend the carnival, during which the Guia Circuit will be replicated at Tap Seac Square with a mini racing track. There will also be interactive games suitable for families.
Children participating in the event can become mini racing drivers and workers at the race track. Visitors can gain a first-hand understanding of the various tasks performed during the Grand Prix, and learn more about racing activities as well as have the opportunity to obtain Grand Prix-themed souvenirs.
Meanwhile, MGPOC has also organised various other activities surrounding this year’s grand prix, including the 73rd Macau Grand Prix’s opening ceremony and Auto Show at Tap Seac Square from 14-15 November, offering residents and visitors a unique opportunity to take a close-up look at the participating racing vehicles.
In addition, grand prix-themed activities will be held at the “Art Everywhere – Cultural Vibes at the Weekend” at Anim’Arte NAM VAN from 13-15 November and 20-22 November, featuring interactive, family-friendly Grand Prix racing games and simulators, among others.
Furthermore, during this year’s grand prix, a cross-over new initiative, the “Macao City Culture Festival”, will be held from 14-22 November. Through innovative cultural interactions and experiences, the festival will promote Macao’s valuable cultural resources that represent “China’s First”. Drawing on the city’s World Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage, it will highlight Macao’s distinctive character as a meeting point for Chinese and Western civilisations and foster the integrated development of culture and sports.
