The Public Security Police Force and the Identification Services Bureau (DSI) have collaborated and interchanged data to launch the electronic services of “Residence Authorisation Certificate” collection and “Macau Non-permanent Resident Identity Card” renewal application simultaneously on 20 October.
The launch is in line with the Macau Government’s vision of streamlining administration to provide convenience and to continuously enhance government service efficiency, according to a press release jointly issued by DSI and the Public Security Police Force.
Eligible Macau residents may first collect the Residence Authorisation Certificate at Macao One Account and then apply for renewal of the identity card at DSI’s self-service kiosks. Residents aged 18 or above may also apply for ID card renewal via Macao One Account directly to enjoy the “Collect Certificate, Renew ID Card” e-service.
Introduced through inter-departmental coordination, the e-service allows residents to go through the above-mentioned formalities without time and geographical constraints, hence effectively enhancing service efficiency and convenience, according to the press release.
