Taipa Market’s “Gastronomy + Culture and Creativity Area” officially opened on Tuesday, boasting both indoor and outdoor dining areas with various original food, drinks, as well as cultural and creative products with Macau characteristics, according to the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM).

The F&B and creative area is located on Taipa Market’s first floor and the second-floor rooftop, operating from 7 am to 10 pm daily.

The operators of the 20 food and cultural and creative stalls were selected through public tender in accordance with the relevant provisions of “Public Market Management Regime”, according to IAM.

There are 19 food and cultural and creative stalls on the first floor that offer traditional snacks like egg waffles, dragon’s beard candy and Hong Kong-style waffles. In addition, there are various food options including Chinese dim sum and noodles, Southeast Asian cuisine, Japanese sashimi and sushi, baked goods and desserts, as well as unique cultural and creative products, while the second-floor rooftop boasts a café serving Western light diet and coffee and tea.

The tenants showcase their creativity by collaborating with local cultural and creative brands, innovating product designs and packaging, and introducing interactive technology elements to enhance product diversity and consumer experience for the public, IAM has pointed out. – GNM
