This year’s Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme (QTSAS) is now open for applications from travel agencies and the SAR’s food and beverage sector.
The application period began on 11 March and will run through 31 March, according to the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), which held a presentation seminar on 10 March to elaborate the call for applications, assessment, award conferment and means of participation this year, with an introduction to the optimised programme and new awards.
Businesses are encouraged to optimise tourism services through continuous participation and bring out the unique appeal and warm hospitality of Macau in concerted effort, according to the tourism office.
During the presentation seminar MGTO Deputy Director Jennifer Si Tou (pictured) expressed the tourism office is dedicated to industry regulation and training, joining hands with local businesses to elevate and reinforce the quality level of tourism services in Macau for more diverse, sound and sustainable tourism development.
Since its inception in 2014, QTSAS has reached timely progress through incessant optimisation and innovation, providing important benchmarks for businesses’ service review and upgrade, recognition for accredited merchants and impetus for the sectors at large, according to MGTO.
