Studio City Macau’s phase 2 is set to open in phases this year, starting with the Studio City Indoor Water Park, which will open on 6 April, with tickets (both ordinary and pre-screening) and hotel packages available for sale from 4 April, the integrated resort’s operator Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced.
Melco Style WeChat members holding the pre-screening tickets may enjoy the exclusive pre-screening experience from 6-27 April, while everyone else can start enjoying the indoor pool from 28 April.
The all-weather and all-year-round indoor water park covers an area of around 26,000 square me
tres, connecting both indoor and outdoor, offering a variety of exhilarating thrills and spills for guests of all ages as well as a fun-filled day out with accessibility facilities for disabilities, according to the company.
The water park features 7 purpose-built state-of-the-art water slides, including Macau’s first water coaster, “Lightspeed Shuttle”, which is equipped with specially designed nozzles to propel the raft and its occupants upward against the pull of gravity leading the raft slides through a sequence of drops, uphill, turns and dark sections.
In addition to the existing outdoor water park, the indoor one features the first-ever indoor surfing simulator in the city, which requires a certain level of skill to control one’s position and balance on the wave; Macau’s only indoor-outdoor Oblivion Pool that offers guests a view through the transparent bottom to enjoy a bird’s eye view from approximately 25 metres above the ground as if floating in the sky; 2 indoor wave pools; a 246-metre action river and a 3.7-metre-deep pool with diving platforms and a 5-metre climbing wall.
