The “Macao’s 1st Group of Classified Movable Properties Thematic Exhibition” kicked off at the Macao Museum on Friday.
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the exhibition showcases Macau’s achievements in the protection of movable properties, according to the bureau.
Divided into three thematic sections, the exhibition features approximately 100 selected items/sets of classified movable properties, including Kraak porcelain, handicraft, painting and calligraphy, as well as antique maps, textiles and statues, showcasing Macau’s history and social transformation, demonstrating the SAR as a hub for trade between China and the West in the past, and reflecting the profound integration of Chinese and Western civilisations in Macau.
In addition, the Macao Museum will launch online virtual tours of the various thematic sections to allow audiences to enjoy the online exhibition through the museum’s website.
The exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, except Monday, until 16 August. For more information contact 2835 7911 or visit the museum’s website.
