The “38th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF)” kicked off with the performance “My Grand View Garden – Yue Opera” (pictured) by the Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe, led by first-class actress Chen Lijun, at the Macao Cultural Centre (CCM) in Nape yesterday.
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the 38th MIMF was inaugurated at the CCM lobby right before the performance “My Grand View Garden – Yue Opera” began.
Themed “Silk Resonances”, this year’s MIMF features 10 programmes presented by world-renowned musicians and emerging young talents, one piano camp and 12 “Floating Notes Across the City” activities, offering a musical feast that promotes Chinese and Western civilisations this autumn.
