The seven-day National Day holiday has come to an end in mainland China and preliminary figures show that Macau has registered 1.143 million visitor arrivals from 1 to 7 October, with average daily visitor arrivals topping 163,000, which increased by 15.5 per cent compared with last year’s National Day holiday, according to the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).
Moreover, single-day visitor arrivals peaked at 210,000 on 4 October. Both the volumes of average daily and single-day visitor arrivals in Macau reached the highest records for National Day holidays ever since there were official statistics, the tourism office has pointed out.
