A hungry art college student visiting the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea recently ate an expensive art piece by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, reportedly worth US$160,000. The student ate the ripe banana duct-taped onto a wall from an installation called “Comedian”, which is part of Cattelan’s solo exhibition “WE”. The student put back the banana peel on the wall using the same tape, saying that he had skipped breakfast and was hungry, according to a report by The Korea Herald.
