SJM Resorts organised a special visit by nine City University of Macau students from the
university’s Faculty of International Tourism and Management to the Macau Grand Prix circuit
yesterday, the first day of this year’s 70th Macau Grand Prix, during which the students had the
opportunity to meet and interact with SJM Theodore PREMA Racing Team, including the team’s
principal Teddy Yip Jr. – he is the youngest son of the late Medan-born Dutch-Indonesian
businessman turned Macau Grand Prix icon Teddy Yip – and Formula 4 racers Leong Hon Chio,
Freddie Slater and Arvid Lindblad.

During the students’ visit to the SJM Theodore PREMA Racing Team’s pit, the SJM
Resorts-sponsored racing team gave a glimpse into the inner workings of motorsport racing and
an insider’s view of the team’s preparations and operations. They also talked about racing
components and pre-race strategies, among others. The initiative was aimed at igniting
motorsport passion among the youth while also encouraging their active engagement in
Macau’s iconic annual sporting event.
