The “XIV Macau International Short Film Festival” is set to kick off at the Teatro Capitol on 5 December with a music performance by local musicians IAT and Akitsugu Fukushima, followed by two screening sessions. The first session will present an opening film titled “El Credito” (The Bank Loan”) from Spain, while the second session will be the “SHORTS Fiction 01” that comprises “A Step Back” (Serbia), “A Roadside Banquet” (US/China) and “Morse” (Iran).
Other productions featured in the festival include some Indonesian films like “Supresi” (“Suppression”) and “Gadis dan Penatu” (The Girl and the Laundry”), as well as Macau-Filipino film “Fake News”.
Co-organised by Creative Macau – Center for Creative Industries and the Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM), the film festival will be held on the fourth floor of the Teatro Capitol, located on Rua Pedro Nolasco da Silva, until 13 December. Admission is free.
