SJM Resorts has recently partnered with Forbes Travel Guide to host a seminar on “Curating Luxury Experience in Hospitality” for around 380 students from 15 tertiary institutions and secondary schools in Macau and Guangdong.
The seminar gave the participating students some insights on international luxury hospitality standards and elements of top-notch service.
The event was officiated by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, SJM Managing Director Daisy Ho, Forbes Travel Guide Chief Executive Officer Hermann Elger, as well as SJM’s Chief Operating Officer Benjamin Toh and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Daniel Shim.
“Exceptional guest service is crucial for attracting international travellers and reinforcing Macau’s status as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure. Our collaboration with Forbes Travel Guide opens a gateway for students to understand global luxury guest service practices and benchmarks through internationally recognised training content,” Ho said in her opening remarks.
“We also strive to establish Macau as a hub for exemplary tourism education and training for the Greater Bay Area. We target to promote high-quality tourism development in China and ensure the sustainability of a talent pool that meets the demands of the world’s rapidly evolving tourism landscape,” she added.
