Macao Orchestra will perform “Disney’s Aladdin in Concert Live to Film”, part of the local orchestra’s concert season, at the MGM Cotai’s MGM Theatre on 1 and 2 June, according to the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The award-winning music from Disney’s classic Aladdin will be performed as the animated film is displayed on the indoor LED screen at the MGM Theatre – the size of three tennis courts. The concert is presented by MGM.
Under the baton of Macao Orchestra Assistant Conductor Tony Cheng-Te Yeh, the two-hour concert involves a number of talented singers who engage in dubbing for different main characters, including CJ Tan, Rayray, RJ Woessner and SEMISCON Vocal Band, presenting an audio-visual feast that combines animation, symphonic music and singing, and that relives the award-winning songs composed by Alan Menken.
Meanwhile, the Macao Orchestra 2023-24 Concert Season is co-organised by IC, Macao Orchestra Company Limited, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, MGM, Sands China, SJM Resorts and Wynn Macau, with the support from Bank of China Macau Branch.
Tickets to the Aladdin concert are priced at MOP 300-600 and can be purchased through the Macau Ticketing Network. For more information contact the 24-hour ticketing hotline at 2855 5555 or visit the Macau Ticketing Network’s website. (Wong Kin Ang)
