Mandisa Lynn Hundley, best-known simply as Mandisa, who became popular after becoming a contestant in the fifth season of American Idol – finishing in ninth place – and went on to become a Grammy winner, died about a fortnight ago, at the age of 47. Mandisa, whose album “Overcomer” won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2014, was found dead in her home and no cause of death has been revealed so far.
