A delegation from the Republic of Cape Verde, led by its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) to learn about the university’s latest development. The delegation was warmly received by Rector Song Yonghua, Vice Rector Rui Martins and other UM representatives. During the meeting, Song introduced to the delegates UM’s recent development, its cooperation with higher education institutions in Cape Verde, and the situation of Cape Verdean students studying at the university.
The minister pointed out that some Cape Verdean graduates of UM who returned home have taken up important government positions. He also took the time to meet with Cape Verdean students currently studying at the UM to learn more about their studies and life at the university.
