Autumn Salon 2024, an annual art event jointly organised by the Orient Foundation and Art For All Society (AFA), is now calling for entries, with the selected work to be exhibited later this year.
The Submission deadline is 31 October.
Sponsored by Macau’s Cultural Development Fund (FDC), this year’s event marks the fifteenth year that the Autumn Salon has been held, in line with the event’s mission to create a platform for local artists to showcase their latest works as well as explore new venues to expand the diversity of local exhibition spaces.
In addition, the Orient Foundation offers the “Orient Foundation Art Prize” every year to further encourage young local artists’ creativity, with this year’s prize valued at MOP 50,000 (including airfare, food and accommodation for a one-month artist-in-residence exchange programme in Portugal.
Applicants for the Orient Foundation Art Prize must be Macau residents or students studying in Macau, or those working in Macau regardless of their nationalities, aged 18-35. Artists whose works are awarded or selected for the Orient Foundation Art Prize will also have their works exhibited in the Autumn Salon 2024.
The organisers will announce the exhibition’s date at a later stage. For more information contact 6240 7788, or visit AFA’s Facebook page and website. (Gilbert Humphrey)
