A 6,000-square-metre Jurassic World is coming to Thailand soon with the theme park set to open at Asiatique: The Riverfront, Bangkok’s popular large open-air mall, in the second quarter of the year.
However, there is no specific date announced as to when it will officially open.
Described as a “walk-through journey”, the immersive “Jurasic World: The Experience” is a collaboration between AWC, NEON and Universal Live Events & Location Based Entertainment.
The theme park, part of the travelling Jurassic World Exhibition, will have life-like animatronics and the film franchise’s iconic Isla Nublar (Nublar Island) setting.
AWC is reported to be investing some 1.4 billion Thai bahts (over MOP 327 million) to create Jurassic World: The Experience.
Previously, Asiatique: The Riverfront invited Disney to host the successful “Disney100 Village at Asiatique”, with AWC aiming to create another popular “long-term tourism model” through the Jurassic World project. (Gilbert Humphrey)
