AIRASIA TO LAUNCH DIRECT FLIGHT FROM MACAU TO EAST MALAYSIAN CITY OF TAWAU ON 2 MAY

Malaysian multinational low-cost airline AirAsia is set to launch a direct flight from Macau to the East Malaysian city of Tawau in the state of Sabah on 2 May, according to Malay Mail and Sabah’s Daily Express

According to the reports, the new route will be operated by charter flights from Shenzhen Century Holiday Travel Group, with two flights per week – Tuesday and Friday. 

The flight from Tawau to Macau will depart at 12:25 pm, arriving in Macau at 3:45 pm, while the return flight will depart Macau at 4:20 pm and arrive in Tawau at 7:50 pm on each of those two days. In addition, the flight will be operated by AirAsia’s Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity of 186 passengers per flight, according to the Daily Express report

Currently, the route will run from 2 May to 30 April next year. (Gilbert Humphrey)
