The first stage of Studio City’s 2nd phase will open in the second quarter of this year, according to Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, chairman and chief executive of the integrated resort’s operator Melco Resorts and Entertainment. Ho said recently the first stage will include one of the 2nd phase’s two hotel towers and the much-awaited indoor water park – expected to be the largest of its kind in Asia – while the second stage is slated to open in the third quarter and include the second hotel tower.
