The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is calling for proposals by local groups and small and medium enterprises to join the upcoming “2026 Macao International Parade”, with the proposal submission deadline scheduled this afternoon at 5:30 pm, according to the bureau.

This year’s parade encourages participating groups to highlight the essence of Macau being a “City of Sails” to demonstrate the city being an important “window to the world during the Age of Discoveries”, IC has pointed out.

Participating parade groups can express their creativity and showcase the charm of Macau’s cultural integration and innovation. They may join the Parade in four categories, comprising the “Themed Parade Group”, the “Artistic Parade Group”, the “Parade of Large-Scale Artistic Installations”, as well as the “Special Planning Parade”.

In order to boost the engagement level of participating groups, a range of different prizes will be awarded this year, according to IC.

This year’s parade route will start at the Ruins of St. Paul’s and finish at Praça do Lago Sai Van.

Interested local art groups and SMEs can submit their proposals and relevant information to IC’s Division of Recreational Activities (at the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building, Tap Seac Square) by 5:30 pm today, indicating the following on the envelope: “2026 Macao International Parade – Call for Proposals by Local Parade Groups” or “2026 Macao International Parade – Call for Proposals by Local Small and Medium Enterprises for VIVA Carnival”.
