The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) earlier this month participated in the “Asia TV Forum & Market” (ATF) in Singapore for the first time, particularly promoting filming in Macau through its “Macao Pavilion” set up at the event.

Through the “Macao Pavilion”, IC showcased Macau’s filming resources including the World Heritage sites, modern urban landscapes and diverse natural sceneries, as well as introduced the SAR’s policies supporting for film and TV productions (including the “Subsidy Programme for Cinematographic and Television Filming in Macau” introduced by the Cultural Development Fund to industry professional worldwide), encouraging overseas production crews to film in Macau.

Moreover, Macau’s participation in the event aimed to enhance the SAR’s visibility and prominence in the international film and television industry, according to IC.

In addition, the culture bureau organised the participation of local directors in the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF Pro), expanding the collaboration opportunities with international markets for Macau’s film and television professionals.

Organised by RELX (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., ATF attracts the participation of industry representatives from over 40 countries and regions annually. This year’s ATF was held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands from 3 to 5 December.
