The 14th Macao International Trave (Industry) Expo (MITE) will be held at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, Halls A-C, from 10-12 April under the theme of “Global Convergence, Future Horizons”, according to the Macao Government Tourism office (MGTO).

Organised by MGTO and coordinated by Macau Travel Agency Association, the event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macau SAR.

MGTO and the Macau Travel Agency Association held a joint press conference on Friday to unveil the program highlights and logistic arrangements.

The event is expected to bring together professionals of the travel trade and related sectors from around the world to Macau to deepen integration across “tourism +” through spectacular new highlights in this prestigious annual travel trade fair, set to foster adequate economic diversification in the SAR, according to MGTO.

This year’s MITE occupies an area of 30,000 square metres and accommodates nearly 1,500 booths. Over 700 exhibitors from 58 countries and regions, together with over 600 hosted buyers from home and abroad, have so far registered for participation, which reflects the expo’s status and influence as a major international platform for businesses across the world, the tourism office has pointed out.

In addition, there will be over 150 themed sessions, such as various destination presentations, industry forums, workshops and performances, among others, during the event.

The 14th MITE will be open to the public from 11 am to 7 pm on 10 April, from 10 am to 7 pm on 11 April and from 10 am to 6 pm on 12 April. Admission tickets will be distributed for free at the entrances of Hall A.

During the expo, free shuttle bus service will be provided between the event venue and four local points on the Macau Peninsula and Taipa. Moreover, free parking will be available for the public at Halls D and E. More information about the event can be found on MITE’s website or via this link. – GNM
