Various Macau group tour products tailored for international cruise passengers are now being offered by 12 international cruise lines, which brings these passengers to Macau during their stopover in Hong Kong.
The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) hosted a welcome ceremony at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal on Sunday, during which MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong welcomed two groups comprising nearly 90 cruise visitors from around the world, including Australia, Canada, Laos, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.
During Sunday’s welcome ceremony, the international cruise visitors were also welcomed by Macau’s tourism mascot Mak Mak, who presented each of them with a souvenir, before the visitors embarked on local tours, such as visiting The Historic Centre of Macau, Macau Museum, Macau Tower and the city’s integrated resorts, as well as tasting local delicacies.
Passengers from the 12 international cruise lines that sell Macau tour products can enquire about or purchase those products on the cruise lines’ websites or at tour counters on board to sign up for group tours to Macau. These tour products have been launched for sale by the 12 cruise lines since January.
This special travel offer is aimed at expanding the range of international visitations to Macau, while boosting twin-destination tourism in collaboration with Hong Kong and tourist spending in Macau.
