The University of Macau (UM) recently hosted the 11th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE 2026), bringing together over 250 scholars, researchers and industry professionals from 20 countries and regions, including Macau, Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea, Singapore, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Brazil and Canada.
During the conference, attendees explored emerging research areas in smart grids, energy resilience and low-carbon development, with a view to reinforcing Macau’s role as a premier hub for energy technology exchange in the Asia-Pacific region, according to UM.
