Macau SAR earlier this year debuted in LUXE Asia in Shanghai, where the city won the “Award for Asia’s Best Luxury Destination 2026”, according to the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).
The award further affirms MGTO’s effort in branding the SAR as a “glamorous” luxury travel destination.
The local tourism office marked its first presence in LUXE Asia 2026, which took place in Shanghai in March.
Tailored for luxury outbound tourism operators from across mainland China, Southeast Asia and Russia, the tourism industry event gathered 38 well-known international hotel groups and high-end product suppliers from around the world, with nearly 1,000 tourism officials and professionals in attendance.
