Macau’s visitor arrivals last month increased by 6.1 per cent year-on-year to 4,478,073, according to the city’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
From the figure above, visitors from mainland China increased by 9.3 per cent year-on-year to 3,561,667 in August, while visitors from the Taiwan region (101,282) went up by 13.7 per cent year-on-year, with those coming from the neighbouring Hong Kong SAR (643,445) dropping by 5.6 per cent.
International visitors totalled 171,679 in August, down by 9.8 per cent year-on-year. More details are available via this link.
