Local government was reported earlier this month that it planned on advancing the Legislative Assembly’s (AL) final debate and vote on certain articles of a new ID bill so that Macau residents could use their e-ID certificates for some public services as early as next month, a move expected to speed up the government’s new service allowing residents to cross the city’s border checkpoints using the e-ID certificate, which is expected to begin by year-end, according to a report by The Macau Post Daily.
