The world’s biggest LEGOLAND theme park and hotel is set to open in the mainland Chinese city of Shenzhen next year, various media reports have circulated recently. Located on the Dapeng Peninsula, the 580,000-square-metre LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort will be the first international IP-based family entertainment theme park resort in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), according to Merlin Entertainments, who will operate the resort together with its local partner Hazens Holdings. The project is budgeted at over US$1.08 billion.
