The Judiciary Police (PJ) has warned of a scam where the perpetrators tell their victims via SMS that the victims have “missed their court hearing over fraud charges and will be executed by a firing squad unless they click the embedded link to download an app”. The police have advised the public to stay vigilant upon receiving such messages and immediately contact PJ’s anti-scam hotline at 8800 7777 or the city’s crime report hotline at 993 for assistance.
