TVB has introduced the first-ever AI host, named Evelyn Chan, for its Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2023, the finale of which is set to be held tonight, when one of this year’s 16 contestants will be crowned Miss Hong Kong 2023 by last year’s winner Denice Lam. Chan’s surname was chosen as it is the most common surname among the 50 previous Miss Hong Kong winners – six of them share this same surname. The AI host has been created using AI technology by compiling video clips from the past 50 years of Miss Hong Kong winners, according to a report by Dimsum Daily.
