US singer-songwriter and worship pastor Brandon Lake, who is a member of Maverick City Music, has won the Artist of The Year award at this year’s GMA Dove Awards, while “Goodness of God” is the prestigious Christian music award event’s Song of the Year. The annual GMA Dove Awards is organised by the Gospel Music Association (GMA). Other winners at this year’s 54th GMA Dove Awards included Katy Nichole (New Artist of the Year), “Live From The Loft” by Elevation Worship (Worship Album of the Year), “Church Clothes 4 by Lecrae (Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year), “Life After Death” by TobyMac (Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year), as well as “Hymns (Live), which won the Gospel Worship Album of the Year award.
