D. MARIA II HILL PARK TO REOPEN ON WEDNESDAY 

HIGH-SPEED RAIL SERVICES FROM HK TO GZ RESUME TODAY, AND TO BEIJING AND OTHER MAINLAND CITIES ON 1 APRIL 
VISITOR ARRIVALS IN THIS YEAR’S FIRST QUARTER INCREASE BY 13.7 PCT YEAR-ON-YEAR TO OVER 11 MILLION 
TOTAL 69 SUSPECTED ILLEGAL WORKERS DETECTED IN NOVEMBER

After going through renovation and reorganisation Macau’s Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM), the city’s D. Maria II Hill Park, located not far from the Communication Museum, is now set to reopen on 27 December. According to IAM, the park is one of Macau’s parks and gardens with historical value. The D. Maria II Fortress is located at the highest point of the park, overlooking the reservoir and the Friendship Bridge (Ponte de Amizade). The park will be open from 8 am to 5 pm daily. When visiting the fortress, visitors are required to comply with some safety rules, such as, they must not go beyond the boundaries or climb without authorisation.
