Two faculty members of Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM), Dr. Irene Cheng Chu Chan and Dr. Zhaoyu Chen, have recently received the “Highly Commended Paper Award” by Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Management, a leading international journal in the field of travel and tourism.

Titled “The more the better? Strategizing visual elements in social media marketing”, the award-winning paper was funded by IFTM and produced in collaboration with Dr. Daniel Leung from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The findings revealed that photographic contents should strike a balance among visual volume, variety and dynamism to avoid presenting overloading information to viewers.
