Philippine theatre star-cum-diva Lea Salonga is set to perform at West End in London for the first time in 27 years from September this year to January 2024. Salonga, who originated the role of Kim in “Miss Saigon” on West End’s Drury Lane in 1989, is joining the restaging of “Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends” on West End’s Gielgud Theatre, according to a report by Philstar.com. In her upcoming West End show, Salonga will also be joined by Filipino-British actress and singer Christine Allado, who had a stint at Hong Kong Disneyland as a performer.
