The “Candida Hofer: Epic Gaze” photography exhibition at the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) has been extended until 19 May 2024, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has announced. The exhibition is the first large exhibition of internationally renowned photographer Candida Hofer in Macau. The artist is known for her signature eye-level orthogonal views of the architectural interiors of public spaces that are devoid of human presence and mostly depict different types of Western cultural architecture in different periods.
The exhibition is held on the first and second floors of the museum, which is located in Nape. Guided tours in Cantonese are available at 3 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, while group guided tours and sign language interpretation services can be booked free of charge.
MAM is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm (no admission after 6:30 pm), including public holidays, except Mondays. Admission is free. For more information about the exhibition visit MAM’s website.
