The Palazzo Versace has officially opened its first luxury hotel in Asia with the grand opening of its Palazzo Versace Macau – located at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau in Cotai – held on Saturday and attended by many Asian and international celebrities.
Among the celebrities were South Korean K-pop star and actor Ok Taec-yeon, US singer John Legend, who performed at the grand opening, and his wife Christy Teigen, as well as Versace Chief Creative Officer Donatella Versace.
“I am delighted to celebrate the opening of this truly beautiful Palazzo Versace here in Macau,” Donatella said. “I know that Palazzo Versace will continue this warm welcome for every guest who comes to visit, for many years to come.”

Palazzo Versace Macau is the first Palazzo Versace luxury hotel in Asia, and the second worldwide following Palazzo Versace Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, according to an SJM Resorts press release.
The 12-floor hotel offers 271 rooms and suites. Its interior design is evocative of an Italian Palazzo, and Versace’s Milanese heritage and signature flair are immediately evident, while codes of the House – Including the Medusa, geometric Greca motif and Barocco print – are each rendered in alternate craft finishes throughout.
A design expression unique to Palazzo Versace Macau interplays this Italianate aesthetic with symbols rooted in local Chinese custom – the chrysanthemum flower and an ornate dragon – which feature throughout the hotel.
Amenities include two Italian restaurants (La Scala del Palazzo and the Michelin-starred Don Alfonso 1890), a wellness retreat, personal training studio, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Entering the hotel, guests are welcomed at the expansive lobby by a magnificent representation of Versace’s home in Milan, the Palazzo at Via Gesù 12 that houses the Versace Atelier, crafted from over 80,000 hand-laid enamel mosaic tiles.
