Various donation drives are being organised across Macau over this weekend for the Turkey-Syria earthquake victims. Some are donating money, while others are collecting warm clothes for the hundreds of thousands of people left homeless after the earthquake struck earlier this week. Currently, over 21,000 people have been confirmed dead and hundreds of thousands more are now homeless, faced with cold weather and hunger

A collection site for warm clothes and blankets has been set up on Travessa do Roquette behind Macau’s main post office in the city centre, and it will run until Saturday. Meanwhile, the Roman Catholic Church’s Diocese of Macau has announced there will be a special collection during Sunday masses in all parishes across the city tomorrow, with the donations to be sent via Caritas Macau to support those affected by the quake, according to the diocese’s Facebook page.
