ARTYZEN GRAND LAPA MACAU PRESENTS DEHUA PORCELAIN EXHIBITION ‘BEAUTY OF PERFECT WHITE – MASTERPIECES OF BLANC DE CHINE’

An exhibition of porcelain from Dehua, entitled “Beauty of Perfect White – Masterpieces of Blanc de Chine”, is currently held at the lobby of Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau hotel in Nape.

The exhibition is organised by Dehua County Government and Dehua Kiln, co-organised by Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau and Amagao Gallery, and supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

Referred to as “The Whiteness of China” (“Blanc de Chine”), white porcelain and related arts from Dehua County, Fujian Province are famous for its delicate skills, exquisite attention to details and pearly white colour, which have elevated the county to the global stage as the world’s only “World Porcelain City”, a title given by the United Nations.

Located in the central part of Fujian and the north of Quanzhou City, Dehua is considered to be one of the birthplaces of Chinese ceramic culture and the cradle of the world ceramic culture.

Dehua has more than 4,000 ceramic enterprises, employing over 100,000 people, with a ceramic output value of around 57.7 billion yuan as of last year.
