The Rui Cunha Foundation is currently showcasing the work of artist Chan Man Kin in a solo painting exhibition titled “The Splendor of Objects” at its gallery in the city centre.
“Painting art should obtain an order in nature,” said the artist. “Still life painting is a painting genre and form with independent aesthetic value and spiritual orientation in Western painting. Still life painting gives me a sense of personal stability, allowing my body and mind to quickly integrate. I can interpret objects through the touch of my hands and my heart and depict still life according to the inner consciousness of body perception”.
