The “Student and Youth Show in Celebration of Macao’s Return to the Motherland” was held at Macau Forum yesterday, featuring over 700 young students from schools across Macau and other cities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
The event was held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland.
The event was co-organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), SJM Resorts and Nam Kwong (Group) Company, in collaboration with the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM), Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO, Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), Sports Bureau (ID), University of Macau (UM), Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), Education Forum for Asia in Beijing, Chinese Educators Association of Macau, Macau Higher Education Development Promotion Association, Macau Catholic Schools Association, Associação Educativa da Função Pública de Macau and the Committee of Macao Youth Associations for Organising Activities, with the support from the Guangdong Youth Federation.
The participating students demonstrated the results of their hard work in months of dance rehearsals to a live audience of over 1,600 people as well as viewers watching the performances via TV and livestream.
