Macau English Debating Association (MEDA) will recruit and train local secondary students to represent Macau in the 2025 World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) to be held in Panama in July next year, with registration period to run until 13 September.

Registrants will then be interviewed on 14 and 15 September, with those selected to be trained by local and international debate coaches in preparation for next year’s WSDC. Registration fee is MOP 200. For more information about the event visit MEDA’s Facebook page.

First held in Australia in 1988, WSDC is an annual event in which high school-level teams from across the world compete in English-language debating tournaments. (Yip Kiu)
