Some local public parks and gardens’ operating hours will be extended to 1 am of the following day from 16-18 September to facilitate the public to enjoy their time with family and friends at those parks and gardens during the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has announced.
This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival will fall on 17 September.
The parks and gardens with extended opening hours include Luís de Camões Park, Lou Lim Ioc Park, Montanha Russa Park, Chunambeiro Park, Arts Park (except the section between Praça de Ferreira do Amaral and Rua de Cantão) and Edf. Mong Tak Podium Garden in Macao; Central da Taipa Park, Edif. do Lago Podium Garden and Flower City Park in Taipa; Hac Sá Park and Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane.
The bureau reminds the public to pay attention to safety and environmental hygiene, as well as refrain from touching the large-scale ornamental light installations when appreciating them at the public parks and gardens.
In addition, children playing lanterns with candles should be accompanied and taken care of by adults to ensure safety, and the public should tidy up and remove their own rubbish before leaving public places. For more information contact Civic Service Hotline on 2833 7676.
