Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy, a 22-year-old English Language student of the University of Foreign Language Studies, a member of the University of Da Nang system, has won the title of Miss International 2024, becoming Vietnam’s second winner from the so-called Big 4 pageants after Miss Earth 2018 Nguyễn Phương Khánh’s victory.
In addition, it marked the Southeast Asian country’s first title in the pageant.
The other two Big 4 pageants are Miss Universe and Miss World.
Huỳnh (pictured) was crowned the latest Miss International winner by Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio of Venezuela during the 62nd Miss International pageant held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan on 12 November. She defeated 70 other contestants in the competition.
Meanwhile, Bolivia’s Camila Roca and Spain’s Alba Pérez became 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, respectively, while Venezuelan Sakra Guerrero finished as 3rd Runner-Up, with Indonesian Sophie Kirana grabbing the 4th Runner-Up title. (Gilbert Humphrey)
