The “AFA Autumn Salon 2024” kicked off at The Parisian Macao in Cotai last month and the exhibition will run until March.
Curated by Alice Kok, this 15th edition of the AFA Autumn Salon – a vibrant showcase of Macau’s contemporary art scene – is held at the integrated resort’s third-floor Shoppes at Parisian, a fitting venue given the Autumn Salon’s origins in the vibrant artistic landscape of the 20th-century (1903) France, according to the organiser, Art For All Society (AFA).
The Autumn Salon project was traditionally held at the Orient Foundation’s (FO) historic mansion Casa Garden.
Over 250 submissions were received by AFA for this year’s edition, comprising works of art by various artists in different mediums.
This year’s event has been sponsored by Macau’s Cultural Development Fund (FDC) and (FO), with Sands China being the venue sponsor.
The jury this year consisted of representatives from AFA, FO and Sands China, who finally selected 200 works by 113 artists, which include oil painting, watercolour, ink painting, digital art, 3D modelling and video installations, among others.
The exhibition will run until 25 March. For more information visit AFA’s website.
