The 2025 MGM Macao International Regatta kicked off on Wednesday and will run through tomorrow.

The event is jointly organised by Macau’s Sports Bureau (ID), MGM and Ursa Major Sailing Event Management, and co-organised by Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) and the Macau Sailing Association, with the support of Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau as well as the partnership with World Match Racing Tour (WMRT).

The event’s racing area is located outside Fisherman’s Wharf and the Outer Harbour, between Governor Nobre de Carvalho and Friendship Bridges.

Meanwhile, to allow people in Macau to experience the charm of sailing, a fleet parade was held on 9 January and will be held again tomorrow, with routes covering the Fisherman’s Wharf, Kun Iam Ecumenical Center and the waters near the Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge and the Macau Tower.

In addition, a “Family Fun Day” will take place today and tomorrow at the Leisure Area of Kun Iam Statue Waterfront – Star on Coast, featuring sailing experiences and family workshops – open to residents and visitors for free.
