This year’s Chinese New Year float parade was unveiled at Sai Van Lake Square on 31 January, the 3rd day of Chinese New Year, followed by the first dazzling show of the Chinese New Year Fireworks Displays.
Attended by various government officials and guided by the nation’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the parade was organised by the SAR’s Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and co-organised by Asia Tourism Exchange Center, Municipal Affairs Bureau (IC), Economic and Technological Development Bureau, Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Sports Bureau (ID) and the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
Hosted by Jarvis Chow, Germano Guilherme and Sabrina Mendes, the parade featured 17 floats and about 1,300 performers.
Meanwhile, the 17 floats will enliven the northern district at 8 pm on 8 February. In the meantime, the floats are currently displayed at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf until 7 February, and will be displayed at Tap Seac Square from 9-16 February.
