The much-anticipated LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort is scheduled to open in summer this year, Merlin Entertainments announced in November 2024.
It will be the 11th LEGOLAND globally and very first in China. Upon its opening, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort “will emerge as a new cultural tourism landmark in the Yangtze River Delta region”, according to LEGOLAND Resorts Chief Operating Officer John Jakobsen.
Meanwhile, prior to its official launch, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort – spanning some 318,000 square metres – is expected to have a trial opening phase accommodating 2,000 to 5,000 daily visitors, various media groups have reported.
