Hong Kong has recently adjusted its application procedures of visa/entry permits, during which applicants are required to declare whether they have any criminal convictions. However, the neighbouring SAR’s Immigration Department has confirmed that this does not include foreign domestic helpers, who do not need to make such a declaration. The adjustment only includes General Employment Policy, Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals, Technology Talent Admission Scheme, Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates and Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents, according to a report by Dimsum Daily.
